Geraint was mated with Weatheroak Black Bess and produced, in October 1989 a “Brumbies” litter for the Kingsberry’s. We took Brumbies Dreamer of Actaeon (see later).

In February 1986, Actaeon’s Influence mated with Actaeon’s Mirabel produced:

Ch Barsheen Magnus, Ch Barsheen Bluebell,

Barsheen Mahogany, Barsheen Mulligatawny,

Barsheen Heatherbell, Barsheen Isobel.

The nearest to perfection. Though Actaeon-bred, we were proud to campaign him under Yvonne’s famous Barsheen affix.

He was BoB at Crufts in 1988, appeared on the cover of the Kennel Gazette that year and in the Crufts Calendar for 1989. He was chosen to illustrate the standard of the Bloodhound in the KC’s new book - “Illustrated Breed Standards”.

We only managed to mate him with one bitch - Zinos Anwen - before he was tragically killed on the road. That mating produced a litter for David and Linda Thomas and we kept a bitch so like her father that we called her Mini-Mag (Mini for short). Her proper name was Ch Zinos Braint Actaeon.
